Job Description

We are looking for a Speech Language Pathologist who is excited to work independently with pediatric and adult clients in school and home setting on face-to-face basis.

Be on the go with a schedule that works for you and which you have full control over.

This is a part-time position based in Guelph Kitchener Waterloo and surrounding areas.

What you will be doing:

    • Provide assessments in a home setting based on presenting impairment or diagnosis using standardized assessment tools.
    • You will see individuals with a wide variety of concerns including but not limited to clients recovering from stroke other neurological problems or congenital conditions who are now having trouble with speaking breathing or swallowing
    • Design a care plan using evidence-based information relevant best practice guidelines and clinical expertise.
    • Partner with our clients family members caregivers and other health care professionals regarding care goals and service plans.

Skills needed for success:

    • Graduate of a recognized Post Secondary program in Speech Language Pathology.
    • Current active registration in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.
    • Must have a Valid Drivers License and the use of a reliable vehicle.
    • Excellent communication and analytic skills with strong organizational abilities.
    • Experience providing home-based services is an asset but new graduates are welcome!
