WorkOS builds tools and services for developers to help them implement authentication identity authorization and overall enterprise readiness. Our fast-growing customer base includes hundreds of rapidly growing SaaS companies like OpenAI Vercel Plaid Perplexity and Cursor.
About the role
WorkOS is a technical platform built by developers for developers and our Solutions Engineering team plays a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional experience from the very first conversation through successful implementation.
As a Solutions Engineer at WorkOS youll join a growing high-impact team that works closely with product-minded developers at some of the fastest-growing SaaS companies. Youll serve as a technical partner during evaluation onboarding and expansion guiding teams through architectural decisions building proof of concepts and helping them integrate WorkOS products.
This role is ideal for someone who is an experienced engineer a clear and empathetic communicator and passionate about helping other developers succeed. Youll work cross-functionally across Sales Developer Success and Engineering to ensure customers get the most out of our platformwhile contributing to the ongoing development of our SE function and tooling.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical advisor to engineers product managers and technical leaders guiding architectural decisions and best practices to help customers get the most out of WorkOS
- Develop and maintain reusable assets including code examples proof of concept applications demo environments and demo assets
- Present technical demos and lead technical onboarding and implementation planning sessions to ensure customer success
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop deep technical knowledge of WorkOS and its roadmap
- Provide structured feedback and work closely within the Developer Success and Engineering teams
- Design and articulate technical solutions that solve critical business challenges for a variety of companies
- Build and maintain strong technical relationships with enterprise customers ensuring long-term integration health and expansion opportunities
Qualifications
- 3 years in a customer-facing technical role (e.g. Solutions Engineer Solutions Architect Sales Engineer) ideally in a B2B SaaS or developer tools company
- Proven experience supporting a technical sales process and driving successful outcomes with engineering and product stakeholders
- Excellent communicator - able to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong engineering background with familiarity across web technologies APIs authentication protocols (OAuth SAML) and software architecture patterns
- Creative problem-solver who enjoys tackling open-ended technical challenges with curiosity and precision
- Fast learner with a builders mindset - eager to explore new technologies and help shape product direction
