QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters degree from a recognized accredited college or university;
- Validstandard administration certification;
- Five (5) years of successful teaching and coaching experience;
- Knowledge of the overall operations of an athletic program;
- Knowledge of state and UIL policies governing athletics;
- Ability to implement policy and procedures;
- Ability to interpret data;
- Ability to manage budgets personnel and coordinate district functions; and excellent communication public relations and interpersonal skills.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Probationary/Term Contract: 250 days
Salary:
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2025-2026.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Direct and manage the districts athletic program and facilities.
- Develop and maintain an active interscholastic athletic program that is responsive to community needs promotes good sportsmanship and effectively integrates into overall district programs designed to meet student development objectives.
- Establish physical and academic eligibility requirements for participation in each sport andverify each athletes eligibility.
- Obtain and use evaluative findings (including student achievement data) to gauge athleticprogram effectiveness and ensure that program renewal is continuous and responsive to studentneeds.
- Prepare and approve all interscholastic game schedules.
- Arrange transportation lodging and meals for out-of-town athletic events.
- Manage district athletic operations by directing and overseeing ticket sales and ensuring the preparation of facilities.
- Attend regular season athletic contests; postseason games; and district regional state and national meets ensuring that the athletic department is represented at events for all sports.
- Oversee the process of cleaning and sanitizing repairing and storing all athletic equipment in accordance with policies and regulations.
- Coordinate the use of all athletic facilities by non-school groups.
- Plan organize and oversee all athletic awards programs.
- Implement district student management policies communicate expected student behaviorrelated to athletics and ensure enforcement of student discipline in accordance with the StudentCode of Conduct and student handbook.
- Implement the regulations and policies established by federal and state law State Board ofEducation rules UIL rules and district board policy in athletics.
- Compile maintain file and present all physical and computerized reports records andother required documents including win/loss records student awards and scholarships.
- Compile and administer the athletic department budget and ensure that programs are cost-effective and that funds are managed prudently.
- Initiate and approve purchase orders and bids in accordance with budgetary limitations anddistrict policies.
- Maintain a current inventory of supplies and equipment and recommend disposal andreplacement of equipment when necessary.
- Prepare review and revise job descriptions for the athletic department.
- Recruit select train and supervise all athletic department personnel and make sound recommendationsabout personnel placement assignments retention discipline and dismissal.
- Evaluate the job performance of employees to ensure effectiveness.
- Develop training options and/or improvement plans for employees to ensure exemplary operation in the area of athletics.
- Articulate the districts mission and goals in the area of athletics to the community and solicit its support in realizing the mission.
- Use appropriate and effective techniques to encourage community and parent involvementincluding support of athletic booster club activities.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and evaluate associate athletic directors campus athletic coordinators and secretary(s).

Maintain emotional control under stress. Occasional district-wide travel; frequent prolonged and
irregular hours. Occasional exposure to the outdoors and noise.
