Overview
Maintain and repair the facilitys structure equipment and grounds including plumbing electrical and HVAC; perform moderately skilled trade work such as carpentry or painting in the construction repair or alteration of structures such as walls roofs or office fixtures; work with manufacturing or process engineering on the installation and/or repairs of equipment as required; make periodic and special inspections of the premise to determine repair work when necessary; work from blueprints drawings and rough sketches.
Responsibilities
Perform moderately semi-skilled repairs to building fixtures electrical fixtures and plumbing fixtures and performs touch up painting when necessary.
Perform repairs on fleet vehicles; ensure vehicle maintenance records are up to date.
Provide maintenance on manufacturing equipment as necessary.
Perform chemical change-out and replenishment for manufacturing areas; fulfill maintenance requests.
Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices.
Improve and maintain 6S in your area; make suggestions for improvements.
Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities in own work area as well as events for other areas to enhance cross-functional problem solving.
Collaborate in team meetings and activities including SET team support as appropriate.
Performs moderately complex maintenance work.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned such as workstation set up.
Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesMINIMUM:
Two (2) years of related maintenance technician experience including carpentry plumbing and electrical
High School Diploma or GED
PREFERRED:
Experience performing moderately complex repairs
HVAC maintenance experience
Journeyman level experience in two (2) of the building trades
Time Management and Organizational skills: flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to cope with rapidly changing priorities; ability to prioritize workload on a daily basis.
Salary Range: $21.38/HR - 38.14/HR (San Diego).
Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including but not limited to geographical location job function of the position education and experience of the successful candidate.
