Our client in the Real Asset and Infrastructure Investment firm is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented transaction professional to join our investment team as a Senior Investment Associate/Transactor for a specific project (asset acquisition). The Ideal candidate will support the end-to-end investment process including evaluating executing and monitoring investments. The role requires experience skills and knowledge in project corporate and structured finance for acquisition and development investments in focused sectors including Oil & Gas Power Mining Real Estate Agro-industrials and Petrochemicals and Digital Infrastructure.
Summary of Responsibilities
Investment Analysis and Execution
- Conduct detailed financial modelling valuations and other investment/financial analyses
- Assist in the due diligence process including reviewing business models legal documents market assessments and management interviews.
- Support the drafting of investment memos presentations and internal committee materials.
- Collaborate with legal financial and technical advisors during deal execution.
Market and Industry Research
- Conduct market research competitive landscape analysis and sector mapping to support investment thesis development.
- Stay current on macroeconomic trends regulatory changes and sector-specific developments.
Portfolio Monitoring
- Support regular performance tracking of portfolio companies through KPI analysis board reports and financial reviews.
- Assist in the preparation of portfolio reviews and updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Help identify value creation opportunities and assist in strategic initiatives across portfolio companies.
Deal Sourcing Support
- Assist senior team members in sourcing new deals by researching companies preparing target lists and tracking investment pipelines.
- Participate in preliminary screening of inbound opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in finance Economics Accounting Engineering or related field from a reputable institution.
- 3 5 years of experience in investment banking transaction/deal advisory corporate finance or private equity.
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- A self-starter with a high level of initiative and curiosity
Preferred Skills
- CFA ACA/ACCA or MBA (completed or in progress).
- Experience in transaction advisory with any of the Big4 is an advantage.
- Candidates with oil and gas experience will be preferred
