We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Manager to join our team in Doha Qatar. As the Credit Manager you will play a crucial role in overseeing our organizations credit policies managing credit risk and ensuring optimal cash flow. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Develop implement and maintain credit policies and procedures to minimize financial risk
- Analyze credit applications and financial statements to assess creditworthiness of potential and existing customers
- Establish credit limits and terms for customer accounts based on thorough risk assessment
- Monitor customer accounts identify potential credit risks and implement appropriate actions to mitigate them
- Collaborate with sales and finance teams to balance credit risk with business growth objectives
- Negotiate payment terms and develop strategies to resolve delinquent accounts
- Prepare and present regular reports on credit performance bad debt and collections to senior management
- Ensure compliance with local and international credit laws and regulations
- Manage and mentor the credit team providing guidance and support as needed
- Continuously improve credit management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in credit management
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g. CCP CICP) is a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit management or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of credit analysis risk assessment and financial statement interpretation
- Proficiency in credit management software and Microsoft Office suite (Excel Word PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of local and international credit laws and regulations particularly those applicable in Qatar
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers colleagues and senior management
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions based on financial data and risk analysis
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure and tight deadlines
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
