Job Title: Deputy Manager
Location: Sunderland Childrens Residential Home
About the Role:
As Deputy Manager youll be joining a dedicated team that provides care and support to children aged 7 to 17 with Mild Learning Difficulties and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). You will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home ensuring that high-quality care is delivered consistently.
Service Users:
Children aged 7-17 with Mild Learning Difficulties (LD) and Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Hours & Pay:
- Hours: 48 hours per week (4 x 12-hour shifts) on a rolling rota days only. You will also be responsible for managing staff rotas including your own shifts.
- Salary: 37800

What You Need:
- Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent such as Level 3 in Residential Childcare
- Experience: Previous experience as a Deputy Manager Assistant Manager or Senior Residential Support Worker in the residential childcare sector
- Driving Licence: A full valid UK driving licence for manual vehicles
- Skills: Fluent in English both verbally and in writing; IT proficient with a desire to learn new skills
- Understanding of: Safeguarding children residential childcare legislation and confidence in supervising care teams
