About the opportunity
We are seeking for a Payroll Specialist to join our Head Office Team based in the Sydney CBD with convenient access to public transport including the light rail.
The Payroll Specialist is a part of the Finance team and is responsible for managing and administering Moran Health Care Groups (MHCG) payroll operations.

Key responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate end-to-end processing of fortnightly payrolls.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records systems and databases.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and MHCG Policies and Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA).
- Provide high level of customer service when addressing employee payroll queries.
- Processing new hires transfers and terminations
- Support PAYG Superannuation payroll tax & payroll reporting.
- Assist with maintenance of the payroll system.
- Prepare and process termination payments workers compensation payments.
- Prepare and process fortnightly and monthly reports.
- Perform ad hoc payroll tasks and respond to related queries
Skills/Requirements:
- Qualification in Payroll Business Accounting Finance or equivalent or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of three years experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in Health or Aged Care is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail accuracy and ownership of your work.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office Suite including Excel.
- Must have full working rights in Australia.
- Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations.
