OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL:
Handle Trade Remittance and E/IDPMS activities at the Branch with due adherence to the applicable regulations processes and procedures thereby keeping a strict vigil on operational risk and being compliant on compliance and vigilance matters.
To ensure a clean audit report Concurrent IG RBI flying squad et al and close all the recos before the due date and ensure that no recurrence is observed
To ensure that all reconcilable accounts - Nostro E/IDPMS BREAKS sundry transit OMR et al are reconciled in time. Rigorous follow-up and clearance of the pending reco items if more than a week
To avoid transactional errors and loss (actual or potential) to the Bank. To ensure that all incidents and client complaints are reported with full transparency in line with our internal guidelines and controls implemented to avoid the recurrence
To ensure that Banks guidelines are followed effectively
To ensure that all daily commitment/transaction entries captured and expired commitments reversed promptly
Branch procedures should be promptly reviewed daily and exceptions acted upon.
Reconcile with Inward mail Register to ensure that there are no pending trns at EOD.
Ensure safe desk policy at all times
Participate in BCP/CalL tree tests on time
Review access rights periodically
Review Branch SOPs to align to approved internal practices.
Ensure timely OCM controls ORUS & BEACON signoffs
Bring Direct contribution to operational permanent control framework.
Minimize operational failure including but not exclusively the risk of fraud by helping to devise and by implementing sufficient regular controls
Ensure appropriate escalation to management and/or permanent control (or compliance as appropriate) as soon as an issue is identified.
Comply with internal and external regulatory and compliance requirements
Think Smart and be risk averse. Come forward to share best practices for other Branches and implement strong controls.
Comply with the IT Security policies.
Achieve Productivity Objectives and Savings Achieve Process Efficiencies by innovating
Support Management through sustained productivity increase and implementation of Global /regional initiatives such as TOM / lean project etc.
Innovations suggested in process improvements within the branch to improve the client TATs and satisfaction.
Effective co-ordination with other stake holders for process improvements
Support and encourage job rotations between teams to increase staff awareness / exposure / networking within ITO to break silo between teams and increase multitasking skills
Systematic implementation of use of Lync (video) between staff to achieve quicker closure of questions and issues rather than email exchanges thereby reducing friction between people and improve overall timeframe.
To encourage staff to innovate to improve automation and reduce paper & electricity consumption
Anti-Money Laundering / Financial Sanctions (AML / FS)
Operations are an integral part of the control framework including AML/FS topics. In that respect in performing your role you are expected to ensure adherence to AML/FS-related Local requirements Group Policies and of associated operational controls and to promptly escalate any resulting hit for analysis and decision to the relevant authority.
MISC. JOBS:
Assist in any other job requirements as assigned by the Branch Manager from time to time. In case of absenteeism act as a back-up to the official handling other areas/functions
