As a Manager in the Managed Markets Finance (MMF) Compliance team youll play a pivotal role in shaping how Novartis ensures financial integrity and operational excellence. Youll be at the forefront of embedding financial and IT controls across MMF operations helping the team navigate audits risk assessments and compliance with confidence. Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and addressing internal and external auditor requests
- Monitor financial and IT controls to ensure compliance with internal policies and SOX requirements
- Review evidence and documentation to validate alignment with control standards and Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM)
- Conduct Segregation of Duties (SOD) analysis across MMF systems and applications
- Assess impact of organizational changes on internal controls and compliance frameworks
- Prepare the review of external providers assessment (SOC 1)
- Review and support automations to ensure alignment with Novartis requirements
- Partner with stakeholders to implement regulatory and policy changes compliantly
- Track and ensure completion of mandatory compliance trainings across MMF functions including Government Reporting and CIA trainings.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or business preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
- Strong understanding of financial and/or IT controls including compliance frameworks and documentation practices
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with senior stakeholders across the organization
- Excellent communication skills for engaging internal and external stakeholders on compliance and remediation
- High attention to detail and strong orientation toward process and policy adherence
- Capable of managing and completing multiple tasks concurrently to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite SharePoint Teams and Planner
Desirable Requirements
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree
- Familiarity with IT controls frameworks
Novartis Compensation Summary:
The salary for this position is expected to range between $108500.00 and $201500.00 per year.
The final salary offered is determined based on factors like but not limited to relevant skills and experience and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.
Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and depending on the level of the role eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
