MoranAssistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSubject:Safety Care: August 2025: Initial CertificationThe Safety Care curriculum is designed to provide skills and competencies necessary to effectively prevent minimize and manage behavioral challenges for staff working with students who exhibit disruptive behaviors. Staff will learn skills to prevent a crisis respond to a crisis and intervene during and after a crisis to prevent the chances of re-occurrence. Participants should be aware that certification is good for one year and they must re-certify yearly. This training is highly recommended for those staff working with student populations experiencing social-emotional and behavioral challenges and especially for staff working in special education classroom environments. The INITIAL CERTFICATION training is for those participants who have never been trained in Safety Care or whose certification has lapsed past the 90-day grace period. Participants must complete both days in sequential order to receive certification. Compensation will not be provided unless individuals complete the entire course. Trainers can take up to 20 participants per session.
