Job Description
Our Automation and Controls Specialists play a critical role in strengthening customer relationships by solving system issues and recommending improvements for building systems like HVAC lighting and power. Their responsibilities include developing programming testing and commissioning control systems optimizing performance using Niagara tools and troubleshooting hardware and software issues. They participate in engineering reviews perform routine BAS maintenance and emergency repairs and are responsible for maintaining thorough documentation. The role also requires completion of Pathway training holding the position for at least 12 months and managing 200 annual contract hours.
This role requires at least two years of experience with multiple BAS control platforms (e.g. Tridium Niagara Trane Siemens) and at least one year of hands-on experience developing building testing and commissioning full building control systems. Candidates should have a solid understanding of HVAC systems electrical circuits and controls along with a high school diploma or GED and Tridium Niagara 4 Certification. Preferred qualifications include a related bachelors degree and Distech GFX Certification. Success in this role demands strong troubleshooting abilities the capacity to interpret technical schematics professional communication skills time management and a strong work ethic. Candidates must be self-motivated team-oriented and able to handle physical demands and environmental exposures common to construction or warehouse settings.
