Role: FAIR Insurance Functional expert and Delivery Lead Location: Bangalore

Overview:

This role requires someone with strong functional and delivery leadership experience in the Insurance domain specializing in Financial Actuarial Investment & Risk data processing and modernization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of actuarial and financial data in insurance and possess expertise in leading large-scale data migration & modernization initiatives. This role requires a blend of technical acumen functional expertise and delivery capabilities with hands-on experience in cloud data engineering data architecture and enterprise grade data solutions. The individual will be part of a team of problem solvers helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage end-to-end data transformation projects in the insurance sector ensuring seamless execution and alignment with business goals.

• Provide leadership and guide clients in actuarial financial investment risk data processing and best practices for migration / modernization.

• Oversee design and implementation of cloud-based data architectures (Data Lakes Data Warehouses) with robust ETL/ELT processes.

• Work closely with actuarial finance modeling and risk teams to drive requirements-based data sourcing decisions data mapping & modeling.

• Advise on insurance regulations (IFRS4 IFRS17 LDTI) and ensure regulatory compliance in data transformation initiatives.

• Leverage cloud platforms (Azure AWS GCP) for data modernization optimizing performance and scalability.

• Lead the creation of technical content blueprints architecture patterns/models; create proofs of concepts

• Understand influence and promote the PwCs Cloud Engineering Data & AI strategy

• Contribute to cloud practice growth by leveraging experience and best practices

• Hire retain and develop a high-performing diverse and inclusive team

• Actively participate in Sales and Solutioning activities in Cloud contributing to improve the win ratio

• Make informed decisions about customers Cloud Infrastructure understanding the impact of design decisions

• Use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current industry or sector trends.

• Plan and prioritize own and project teams work. Follow tasks to their logical conclusion and make sure that everything has been done to the right standard

• Provide inputs on the development of design implementation operations user guides and training materials

• Maintain knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technologies equipment and systems. Review and provide input standard operating procedures

• Collaborate with other technical and non-technical team members clients and vendors to define build and deliver solutions

Required Skills & Experience:

• 16 full-time years of IT experience; Prior consulting Professional Services and/or Enterprise Experience preferred.

• 10 experience in managing and delivering large-scale data transformation initiatives preferably in the insurance sector.

• Implementation knowledge of insurance financials actuarial modeling investment & risk data processing.

• Strong expertise in data engineering cloud architectures and enterprise data solutions.

• Hands-on experience with AWS data engineering tools with Python Java or Scala for data transformation and processing.

• Experience in designing and implementing Data Lakes ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing solutions.

• Experience in DevOps Agile and Scrum constructs - Developing strategies and approaches to optimize the implementation of cloud resources and capabilities

• Experience in various database engines like MySQL PostgreSQL MSSQL MongoDB

• Strong SQL skills and experience in optimizing data processing workflows.

• Familiarity with insurance policy administration systems.

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including actuarial risk and finance functions.

• Experience with Agile delivery models and CI/CD automation.

• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.

• Experience in leading several project management workstreams and teams including large development projects with onshore offshore vendor and/or client resources components that emphasize evangelizing cloud computing at both the business and technology levels

• Experience in pre-sales and solutioning activities contributing to the growth of cloud business

• A proven record of success in implementing and leading large scale cloud migration and modernization programs

Minimum Education Required: Bachelors degree (BE B Tech MCA M Tech or equivalent)

Certification(s) Preferred: One or more Data or Architect certifications from AWS Azure or GCP
