Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and support workplace safety initiatives ensure regulatory compliance and promote a culture of safety. This senior-level role oversees safety programs conducts training and audits manages environmental health and safety programs and collaborates with department leaders to ensure safe operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead regular safety meetings workplace audits and inspections to ensure compliance evaluate safety performance identify corrective actions and oversee follow-up assessments.
Develop implement and manage proactive safety and compliance training programs for all staff.
Oversee comprehensive environmental health and safety (EHS) programs across all locations.
Provide guidance to project and management teams on health and safety requirements confirming all operations comply with industry local state and federal regulations.
Collaborate with management to develop Emergency Action Plans and serve as primary contact for injury and incident notification investigation and case management.
Maintain detailed written logs of safety inspection activities reports and correspondence.
Ensure all work complies with approved manuals internal policies procedures contract requirements and accepted engineering practices.
Partner with department heads to manage safety personnel and drive compliance across multiple business units.
Schedule and lead team meetings providing ongoing support and effective follow up on safety initiatives.
Guarantee OSHA compliance and act as subject matter expert on workplace safety regulations.
Develop and implement workplace safety programs and policies to maintain a safe healthy and compliant work environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in Safety Management including supervising a team of at least 4 5 individuals.
Extensive background in a food manufacturing environment with preference for dairy industry experience.
OSHA 10 30 and 500 certifications required.
Strong engineering knowledge or experience in an industrial setting.
Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments and manage safety-related administrative policies and procedures.
Familiarity with project and department budgeting project controls and conceptual planning for safety.
Exceptional conflict management and problem-solving skills.
Proven leadership ability with a track record of developing and managing safety personnel.
Excellent multitasking communication meeting facilitation and presentation skills.
Comfortable with various time reporting and administrative management systems.
