Sentara is hiring a Arterial Monitor Technician. This position will cover Virginia Beach General Sentara Leigh Hospital and Princess Anne Operating Rooms.
Overview
Monitors patients EKG and invasive hemodynamic pressures and general surgical procedures. Performs cardiac outputs special invasive pressures as well as various clinical pathological tests such as blood gas analysis electrolytes blood clotting times etc. Is proficient in intraoperative autologous transfusion including plasma sequestration. Utilizes the Gravitational Platelet system. Performs basic troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment specific to the department. Provides didactic and clerical training to employees.
Previous experience necessary in clinical laboratory preferred.
