At Verification & Prototyping at Sandvik Coromant were now looking for a results-focused and collaborative leader for our Materials Testing & Digitalization department a group of brilliant and helpful R&D engineers and technicians with various fields of expertise.
Some words about your new team
Materials Testing & Digitalization have competence equipment and methods for testing in our labs to meet our customers present and future expectations when it comes to verification of components and materials. The work is an important complement to evaluation of tools in metal cutting to deliver results that lead to easier decision making deeper understanding and knowledge through feasibility checks tests and evaluations.
This makes us an integral and reliable part of our product and competence development teams where we contribute with solid facts and hardware from the shop floor to verify our new products. Next to this were responsible for technology development and work closely to production for industrialization.
Your mission
Together with your team you conduct material testing and analysis in our modern R&D lab using our state-of-the-art test rigs and analysis equipment. In parallel youre responsible for driving the digitalization strategy of our facility in Sandviken and you lead the implementation of Industrial internet of Things (IIoT) at Verification and Prototyping. Your team provides as well support in the testing of our new products for example analysis tools software and hardware installations in CNC machines and testing equipment.
By updating and maintaining a joint vision and mission you lead and nourish a high performing team that is well aligned with our objectives within Offer Management and R&D. You ensure continuous improvement and act as a true role model with a strong focus on EHS and zero harm to our people. This also includes responsibility for all EHS-related aspects within your Materials Lab. Your true passion in the area generates engagement and enables your team to always strive towards more efficient solutions.
The location for this position is Sandviken.
Your profile
Were looking for someone with a relevant university degree or equivalent experience gained from a working career in the industry. Your leadership experience includes ideally managing a laboratory as well as digitalizing processes to improve efficiency and data driven development in testing and prototype manufacturing. For this role you also need a valid work permit in Sweden. Acting in a truly global environment calls for excellent communication skills in English. Swedish language skills are beneficial as is a relevant safety and management education.
