About the Role
Are you a detail-driven billing professional who thrives in a fast-paced high-accountability environment Velociti a leading provider of technology deployment services is looking for a Billing Specialist to join our growing team at our Riverside MO headquarters. In this mid-level role youll play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial transactions supporting operational excellence and maintaining strong cross-functional collaboration.
What Youll Do
- Accurately verify and process daily billing transactions and customer invoices.
- Manage billing schedules to meet tight monthly deadlines and processing goals.
- Generate and distribute account statements while resolving any discrepancies.
- Monitor accounts receivable and proactively follow up on outstanding payments.
- Support internal and external audits with documentation and billing reports.
- Maintain digital and physical project folders with organized accuracy.
- Provide excellent service to both internal departments and external clients.
- Collaborate with Accounting Sales and Project Management to ensure billing accuracy.
- Identify and recommend improvements to billing processes and systems.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of recent billing accounting or financial transaction experience.
- Sharp attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively.
- High level of accuracy in data entry and financial documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and general billing tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skillsboth written and verbal.
Preferred Skills
- Associates or bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Experience working with ERP systems (QuickBooks NetSuite SAP etc.).
- Familiarity with electronic invoicing systems and automated billing tools.
- Understanding of E-Verify I-9 compliance or audit readiness is a plus.
