Lead Admission EMAR Services Technician

Symbria Rx is currently seeking a Lead Admission EMAR Services Technician to join our expanding Pharmacy Team in Woodridge IL!

Position Summary:

The Admission eMAR Services is responsible for management of the RDe business line of Symbria. This pertains to the entry of admission medications and medical records into clients Electronic Medical Records (EMR) System for Symbria Rx Services communities.

The Lead Admission eMar Service Technician is responsible for monitoring directing and managing the workflow for the department.

Work Schedule:

To meet client expectations for timely data entry of medication orders and medical records the work schedule may vary. Assigned shifts could include days evenings weekends and on occasion holiday coverage.

Symbria services long-term care settings such as: Assisted Living Skilled Nursing Memory care Developmental communities and many more specialized live-in settings.

• Obtain access for new employees to Vision for RDE customers.

• Assist manager with facilitating new community start up meetings and obtain community RDE requirements.

• Assis manager with processing maintaining and distributing data entry reference guides for each RDE customer.

• Assist manager with responding to communitys customer service concerns regarding RDE medication errors faxing issues or IT assistance needed.

• Assist manager with growing the business line by participating in marketing efforts recommending sales strategies and conducting sales presentations.

• Perform all functions and job responsibilities of a Remote Data Entry Technician when needed as listed below:

• Enter all medication orders and medical records into the client computer system accurately and timely.

• Process all medication orders at a minimum quantity rate of 30 orders per hour with an error rate of less than 2.5%.

• Contact client for verification of orders as needed and document correspondence and follow up in the system.

• Prioritize order entry of admissions according to patient arrival time into the facility.

• Perform reconciliation of skilled nursing community EMR orders against pharmacy order entry.

• Report pharmacy medication errors or order entry discrepancies to Data Operations Supervisor and Director of Pharmacy.

• Work collaboratively with other team members and supervisor to ensure that best practices are shared.

• May provide backup support to other pharmacy groups based on business needs or production levels.

• Any and all duties as assigned.

To perform this job successfully the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily is necessary and the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability :

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

• Pharmacy Technician License and Certification (CPhT) as per State requirements.

• Medical records and data entry experience; minimum four years.

• General computer knowledge including Microsoft Office: Word Excel and Outlook.

• Strong knowledge of pharmacy data entry and medical records ancillary orders (diet lab therapy diagnosis etc.) and brand/generic medications.

• Excellent time and data management skills and ability to prioritize workload.

• Excellent customer service verbal and written communication skills.
  
  

REMOTE (HOME OFFICE) QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Must currently live in a state Symbria Rx Services is licensed in.

• Illinois Pharmacy Technician license; current in good standing and valid at all times during employment. Permanent residence with a defined working space and mailing address.

• Must be willing and have ability to commute to the Woodridge IL pharmacy location (or alternate company designated location) at a minimum once per year and no more than two times annually for any mandatory meeting and/or training.

• Ability to complete I-9 work authorization in person preferably at either a Symbria Rx pharmacy location or Symbria Rehab community or may use a notary office as alternative.

• Signed acknowledgement of Telecommuting Policy.
  
  

Technical qualifications (applicants must meet all technical qualifications at time of application)

• Standardized technology equipment provided by the company includes:

• Desktop computer

• Two monitors

• Phone with teleworker license

• Display port cables

• Keyboard and mouse

• Must have high-speed internet access provided by a cable or fiber provider (no DSL or satellite). Internet is not provided or reimbursed by Symbria.

• Users with no more than three (3) local devices connected a minimum connection speed 25 Mbps for downloads and 5 Mbps for uploads is .

• Users with four (4) or more devices such as laptops/ computers mobile phones/ tablets VOIP home phone gaming systems and streaming video systems (Netflix Amazon Fire/ TV Google Roku Apple TV etc.) the minimum connection speed required should be 75 Mbps for downloads and 5-10 Mbps for uploads.

• We recommend a wire connection to your home internet router. Slow or poor internet connection may impact or prohibit the ability to perform your job. The use of Wi-Fi air cards (mobile hot spots) are prohibited.
