The Financial Services Division of Service Nova Scotia provides corporate financial support through four key teams: Payroll Services Operational Accounting Performance Excellence and Collection Services. Within this division Payroll Services provides service to the Provinces departments agencies and other government units as well as the retirees of three government pension plans. Within Payroll Services the Payroll Client Relations team is accountable to oversee the timely and accurate preparation of the Provinces payroll and the accurate maintenance of all HR master data within the SAP system.
As the Payroll Specialist you will be responsible for the accurate execution of the employee life cycle which includes a client base of unionized and non-unionized employees. You must ensure all transactions comply with Government and Departmental policies and procedures. You are also responsible for providing direction responding to inquiries and resolving discrepancies to ensure all clients receive service in a timely and professional manner. This will involve managing multiple demands and meeting strict deadlines. You work collaboratively in a team providing service excellence to the client and participate in continuous improvement.
To be considered for this opportunity you have:
A Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation from the National Payroll Institute would be an asset.

Pay Grade: TE 20
Salary Range: $2020.82- $2370.01Bi-Weekly
