Senior Technical Advisor Air

We have an exciting ongoing opportunity available for an experienced air quality professional to join the EPA. The Senior Technical Advisor Air provides expert technical advice and support services on air pollution and its management for the EPAs regulatory and operational functions to protect the community and environment. This role also manages and/or contributes to projects that develop reform and implement operational policy systems and processes that support guide and build upon the EPAs regulatory frameworks and assist in achieving EPA priority outcomes and corporate goals.
You will have a current career in air pollution management and have knowledge and experience in assessing and managing the impacts of air pollution on the environment and community. You will have a proven track record in working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to find solutions to complex air pollution issues. You will bring excellent problem-solving skills and sound technical judgement.
Most importantly you will have a desire to show technical leadership in a regulatory environment by providing high level well-judged advice working on innovative solutions to complex issues and developing training and operational guidance for use both across the EPA and externally.
You will be an outcome focused and passionate advocate for the EPA and have a purpose aligned with that of the organisation. Your technical capabilities are balanced by project management experience and an understanding of environmental regulation.
The Air Technical team sits within the Regulatory Practice and Services Division where collaborative partnerships with other technical policy program and operational groups drive environmental and human health outcomes for NSW by harnessing our teams skilled expertise. Youll have the opportunity to influence planning and strategy for the protection of environment and human health outcomes.
