Holmesglen Private Hospital is looking for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to work across our Operating Theatre specialising in an Opthamology case mix on a part time/full time basis.

Holmesglen Private Hospital is a world class facility located in the South Eastern region of Melbourne. Close to public transport and with affordable onsite parking.

Holmesglen Private is a state of the art 147 bed hospital comprising of a 24/7 Emergency Department 6 bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) 9 bed specialised Coronary Care Unit (CCU) 12 bay Day Infusion Unit and 5 specialised inpatient units. including Oncology Urology ENT Orthopaedics Plastic Surgery Interventional Cardiology and Rehabilitation Services


ANUM Position Responsibilities

  • Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement
  • Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners using a customer service mindset to enable high quality patient outcomes.
  • Provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.
  • Be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human financial and material resources
  • Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
  • Undertaking direct patient care as required


Selection Criteria:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA (no conditions)
  • Working with Children check
  • 3 years ANUM experience
  • Work of a rotating roster and all shift types
  • Degree in relevant specialty arearemove
  • Sound clinical knowledge
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive role modelling behaviours
  • Excellent customer service focus time management and prioritisation
  • Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various data bases

If you are successful you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses and Midwives Agreement 2021-2025 (salaries range between$52.9358 and $54.7129per hour).
