Join our small holistic HR team of experts to gain diverse experience across the full employee lifecycle from payroll to strategic topics collaborating closely internally and with the wider Ford HR an Compliance & Payroll Specialist you will be central to the accurate handling of payroll and be the go-to expert for HR compliance. You will work closely with internal and external partners and significantly contribute to process quality and security.
The role is based in Cologne Germany and is a part time role with up to 30 hours/ week (85% part time role).
ResponsibilitiesWhat You Can Expect in Detail:
HR Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure HR audit compliance of internal policies with legal and regulatory requirements and stay current on changes in employment laws regulations (MA Risk) and best practices.
- Develop implement and maintain HR compliance policies and desk procedures.
- Serve as our interface for internal and external audits analyze HR-related audit findings and proactively implement corrective actions.
- Play a crucial role in the annual RCSA (Risk Control Self-Assessment) process for HR-related risks.
- Support compliant onboarding for new employees.
- Oversee compliance for outsourced HR services.
- Be responsible for the HR related documentation of relevant Ford Bank Governance documents (e.g. Organkredite Power of Attorney).
Payroll:
- Serve as the central point of contact for all inquiries related to payroll social security and tax law including audits.
- Oversee and review the monthly payroll processing performed by Ford Werke as a service provider ensuring its accuracy and conformity with German social security and tax regulations. Identify and correct discrepancies and perform manual adjustments as needed.
- Be responsible for the monthly closing including calculation of provisions and prepare annual accruals for the accounting department.
- Manage special cases in payroll (e.g. deceased employees stock purchase programs deferred compensation calculation of ATZ offers and contract draw benefits like bike leasing or reward programs)
QualificationsWhat You Bring:
- A completed degree in Economics or Social Sciences with a focus on Human Resources or a comparable qualification.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Human Resources ideally with a clear focus on HR Compliance and Payroll.
- Proficiency in common payroll software (e.g. SAP HCM).
- Experience with Compliance Management Systems is a plus.
- Confident demeanor and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ideally experience with data analysis tools (e.g. Alteryx).
- An independent and structured working style organizational talent and a high degree of commitment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to quickly adapt to new circumstances and proactively seek improvements.
- A strong drive for continuous learning and a genuine curiosity for adopting technical innovations
- Very good proficiency German and English both written and spoken.
