As our Financial Controller youll step into a national role at the heart of our growth journey. Working alongside our Group Director of Finance youll help lead the way as we scale our hotel network across Australia.

Youll take charge of the financial performance of part of our hotel portfolio supporting Hotel Managers with advice education and mentoring to drive great outcomes. Youll also contribute to higher-level accounting and projects mentoring junior finance team members and shaping the way we work as we evolve into a large business.

From scaling systems and processes to introducing new tools and helping our team grow this role offers the chance to make a real impact. Were looking for someone who brings expertise curiosity and a passion for collaboration.

Accountabilities

  • Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements including P&L Balance Sheet cash flow forecasts and financial analysis to support business performance and decision-making.
  • Contribute to financial strategy and planning lead annual budgeting and monthly reporting processes and provide recommendations to enhance revenue and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations tax obligations internal controls and audit requirements while managing risk minimisation strategies and insurance renewals.
  • Oversee core finance functions including accounts payable/receivable payroll bank reconciliations and journal entries ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
  • Drive development of best-practice financial procedures improve systems for scalability and implement efficient policies to safeguard assets and streamline operations.
  • Partner with hotel managers the corporate team and external advisors to support financial performance provide training and align on budget expectations.
  • Support financial projects and technology upgrades to ensure the finance function scales with business growth while mentoring and developing the finance team.

Skills And Experiences

About You

We work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same so were looking for someone who is adaptable thrives on variety and brings an ownership mindset. Your strong experience in a similar multi-site finance role will be key to your success enabling you to work strategically at a Group level while also nurturing strong relationships with our hotel teams and stakeholders.

Youll be intrinsically motivated to drive results passionate about supporting operational leaders and excited by opportunities to contribute to process improvement and growth. Above all youll bring a collaborative solutions-focused approach and communicate with clarity warmth and confidence.

The successful person must have:

  • Approved Australian working rights (Australian Citizenship Permanent Residency or a Visa with approved working rights)
  • CPA or CA qualification (ideally)
  • Experience in a Financial Controller role or strong experience in a Senior Management Accountant position
  • Ability to thinkstrategically
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Strong understanding of hotel sales and negotiations
  • Excellent collaborationassertivenessand communication (written and verbal at all levels)
  • Effective organisation detail orientation and time management
  • Ability to influencedecision makers and provide creative solutions
  • High EQ
