Job Description
Batching Lead
We are seeking a detail-oriented Batching Lead to join our production team. The ideal candidate will oversee the batching process ensuring accurate weights and proper documentation of ingredients. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high-quality standards while effectively utilizing our ERP system. The Batching Lead will also be responsible for operating a forklift to assist with material handling as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Batching Process Management
- Oversee the batching process to ensure accurate weighing and selection of ingredients.
- Ensure all batching paperwork is completed accurately and complies with company standards.
- Pick ingredients in the ERP system and verify and document ingredient accuracy against ERP system data.
ERP System Utilization:
- Input and maintain records of batching operations in the ERP system.
- Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth transitions and timely batch production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies between physical inventory and ERP data.
Quality Control
- Monitor quality parameters during the batching process and report any deviations.
- Conduct regular audits of batching records and processes to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to implement corrective actions as necessary.
Forklift Operation
- Safely operate a forklift to move materials and finished goods as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while operating machinery.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on the forklift and report any issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in food science manufacturing or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a batching production or related role.
- Proficient in the use of ERP systems or any type computer system
- Valid forklift operator certification; experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
- Speaks Spanish English perferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
