Job Title: Information Technology (IT) Specialist Technical Services Help Desk & Operations

Location:Houston TX 77003
Work Arrangement: On-Site
Start Date: 07/07/2025
Work Schedule: Monday Friday 7:00 AM 5:30 PM (excluding State holidays)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and solutions-focused IT Specialist to join the Technical Services team supporting Help Desk and Operations functions. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the performance and reliability of IT infrastructure providing technical support to end-users and ensuring smooth operation of all systems. The role is on-site in Houston TX and involves collaboration with both internal users and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing and resolving issues related to computer hardware software printers and scanners
  • Install configure and maintain computers operating systems and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot and resolve printing and scanning issues for users
  • Monitor and maintain system performance to ensure reliable operation
  • Recommend and implement upgrades or improvements to hardware and software systems
  • Respond to user inquiries and provide timely support and training as needed
  • Set up new equipment for employee use including phone systems computers and peripheral devices
  • Perform diagnostics on IT systems to identify problems and implement corrective actions
  • Provide technical support in-person and remotely ensuring minimal downtime for users
  • Perform routine maintenance on systems to prevent issues and ensure smooth functionality
  • Track and report IT incidents service requests and system issues
  • Assist with network connectivity troubleshooting and support network infrastructure
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for system support hardware and software issues
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by management
