Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and experienced part-time Live-out Cook/Housekeeper to join a private household in Alresford Hampshire.
The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining a well-run home preparing meals and ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Cooking Duties:
Work one day per week to prepare and cook all meals for the week ahead. Plan weekly menus and purchase all food and ingredients. Cook and prepare for occasional breakfast and dinner parties. Make use of a fully equipped back kitchen designed for daily meal prep and occasional entertaining.
Housekeeping Duties:
Work 2 3 days per week to manage all bedlinen changes and laundry including washing ironing and repopulating dressing rooms and drawers. Maintain general upkeep of designated areas of the home. Provide support during periods of entertainment and events (approximately 4 5 weeks per year) as the property includes a commercial element.
Additional Duties:
Occasional dog sitting for one small terrier. Stay in the home during the owners absences or manage suitable cover. Show flexibility to assist in other household-related tasks as required.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role (private household preferred). Confidence in cooking a range of meals with attention to freshness and dietary preferences. Strong organisational and housekeeping skills. Trustworthy and capable of working independently. Dog-friendly and comfortable with occasional pet care. A DBS check and references are required.
The role is for 2 4 days per week with flexibility on which days.
Working hours are from 9:30am to 3:30pm or 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
