Overview
The Ophthalmologist Consultant MS Doms position at our Morning OPD in Jahangirpuri Delhi is integral to our healthcare team ensuring exceptional eye care to our patients. The ideal candidate must display a profound understanding of ophthalmological practices and demonstrate proficiency in the diagnosis and treatment of various eye conditions. This role not only involves clinical excellence but also demands superior communication skills to effectively educate patients about their conditions and treatment options. As an Ophthalmologist Consultant you will be responsible for evaluating patient conditions conducting eye surgeries when necessary and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough eye examinations and assessments.
- Diagnose ocular diseases and conditions accurately.
- Perform surgical procedures as needed including cataract surgery LASIK and intraocular injections.
- Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies relevant to ophthalmology.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for patients.
- Educate patients and their families about eye care conditions and prophylactic measures.
- Collaborate with ophthalmic technicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Stay updated on latest developments and techniques in ophthalmology.
- Engage in professional development and continuing education opportunities.
- Participate in departmental meetings and audits to enhance service delivery.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior staff and residents.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and standards of practice.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution.
- Masters in Ophthalmology (MS or equivalent).
- National Board of Examinations (DNB) in Ophthalmology is preferred.
- Valid medical license to practice in Delhi.
- Minimum of 3-5 years post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in performing a variety of ophthalmic surgeries.
- Strong understanding of clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Exceptional patient management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and multi-disciplinary environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Fluency in Hindi and English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
