Collections Representative – Medical Billing

Location: The VIC (18110 SE 34th Street Building 5 Vancouver WA 98683)

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00a-5:30p

Hiring range is between $21.70-$26.00 and placement in the range depends on evaluation of experience.

Join Vancouver Clinic as a Collections Representative on our Patient Financial Services team. In this role you will focus on outbound calls to patients regarding past-due accounts setting up payment plans and providing exceptional phone-based customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Contact patients to collect overdue balances

• Set up and manage payment plans

• Respond to billing questions and resolve issues

• Provide courteous assistance for inbound calls when needed

• Work collection queues and process related paperwork while maintaining metrics

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of 1 year of experience with healthcare/medical office accounting required

• Strong customer service skills especially by phone

• Able to work and succeed in a team supported fast-paced metric environment

Additional details: Collections Team has the potential for off-site work after successful completion of full-time on-site training at The VIC and meeting the requirements for working off-site (approx. 6 months). This requires an employee to meet metrics live in the local Vancouver WA or Portland OR area and have a secure home network with minimum upload (5 mbps) and download speeds (25 mbps).
