About the role:
As a Platform Delivery Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the design implementation and management of the infrastructure hosting platforms including Storage Backups and SQL and Oracle databases.
Working closely with the Head of Infrastructure Platforms you will plan for and deliver outcomes and manage the backlog at the Platform level as well as identifying and managing risks technology contract initiation and performance platform lifecycle management and budgets management. Your primary goal is to ensure these platforms are robust scalable and secure to support enterprise-level applications.
Your strong background in leading diverse teams across all areas of technology will be key for leading motivating and inspiring your team to develop best in class capability. As a people leader you will have the ability to understand problems and guide people to get to solutions effectively. In addition you will have extensive experience with cloud services and architecture.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a new industry framework using the Momentum model an evolution of Agile working with best-of-breed technology.
What youll do:
- Advocate for best practices in the use of Databases Data Protection Hosting and Storage.
- Own the end-to-end design implementation and management of the platforms; contribute to and drive Infrastructure strategy and roadmap for the organisation.
- Ensure the platforms are robust scalable and secure to support enterprise-level applications.
- Continuously evaluate and integrate new services and features.
- Maintains vision and leads development of Platform Increment Plan with defined success measures (i.e. accountable for plan).
- Responsible for both change and run initiatives in relevant technology area.
- Responsible for driving prioritisation decisions with functional Leadership team using Increment Plan
- Lead the adoption and implementation of IaC using tools like Terraform.
- Drive the automation of infrastructure provisioning configuration management and deployment processes.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Work collaboratively to build and maintain strong relationships with team members business customers Project Stakeholders peers Finance Procurement Risk and other T&O teams.
What youll bring:
- Proven experience leading large diverse teams (including partners) across multiple locations
- Extensive experience with cloud services and architecture.
- Proven track record of managing cloud platforms at an enterprise scale.
- Experience of IT operations in a large organisation is highly desired;
- Excellent stakeholder management; with proven ability to build relationships quickly
- Possess the drive for continuous development and enhancement of the cloud platform.
- Excellent problem solving ability to seek out information and break down problems and situations into simple lists of components.
- Change management capability - ability to recognise understand and support need for change and anticipated impact on both the team business and self.
