As an intern in the FO department you will assist in the departments operations and guest service on a daily basis. You will be responsible for making the first impression on guests and performing the following tasks following the highest standards:
o Ensure accurate and efficient management of the reception operation including check-in and check-out procedures.
o Respond to guest requirements in an efficient manner and in a timely manner.
o Ensure that the head and supervisor of the Front Desk are informed of any relevant feedback from guests or other departments.
o Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times.
o Fully understand the room categories rate types packs promotions and any other product necessary to carry out daily functions.o Maximise room occupancy and use proactive sales techniques to promote the hotels services and facilities.
o Understand the procedures regarding the acceptance of foreign currency credit cards and cash in accordance with the hotels credit policy.
o Telephone service.
o Ensure that guest submissions and messages are received effectively and efficiently.
o Act in accordance with the regulations established for fire safety and health and follow the corresponding procedures when necessary.
o Act in accordance with policies and procedures when working with hotel equipment.
o Attend the corresponding training courses when required
o Assist other departments when necessary and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
o Work with the head of department to identify specific projects to complete during the internship period.
