Job Description

THE POSITION

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Conservation District Field Representative 2 within the Department of Environmental Protection. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role your main duties involve inspiring and guiding Conservation District directors and staff to create and execute programs in accordance with Act 217 aimed at safeguarding soil and water resources. You will also ensure that Conservation Districts meet their responsibilities under both delegated and contracted programs. Acting as the key liaison among the Department Conservation Districts and the State Conservation Commission you will be responsible for developing and delivering training to enhance the capabilities of district staff and directors. Collaboration with DEP and SCC staff will be crucial for conducting program evaluations. While adhering to the established policies and procedures of the Department and the Commission you will occasionally need to exercise independent judgment in decision-making and in providing advice regarding the interpretation of these guidelines.
