Avery Dennisons Internship & Co-Op Program has a single business focus to cultivate future talent for our rapidly growing organization. With a concentrated blend of experiential on-the-job learning a dynamic environment access to business leaders and an encouraging team of co-workers peers and supervisors the Internship and Co-Op Program will provide you the opportunity to sharpen your skills and collaborate on a number of strategic projects.

 

Were seeking a part-time Accounting Co-Op(10-15 hrs per week) to join our business in North America during the Fall of 2025 starting August 25 2025. These hours could increase for Summer 2026 to full time.  You will provide Accounting support for North America operations. In this role you will assist with the close process and various analyses and ensure all reporting deadlines are met while collaboratively working with the Accounting Team and other Functions. You will also work on projects that support Accountings continuous efforts to standardize and streamline processes.

The Accounting Intern typically works for one of the following teams:

  • Accounts payable

  • Accounts receivable

  • Indirect Tax/General Accounting

What you will be doing

The primary roles and responsibilities of this internship will be:

  • Working to understand Accounts Payables Accounts Receivable and other sub-ledger activities and relation to accounting impacts

  • Participate in monthly close process including journal entries account reconciliations and any analysis associated with those activities

  • Support business unit and accounting managers/analysts on various analyses

  • Complete projects directly linked to the Accounting Team efficiency initiatives

Internship positions at Avery Dennison are paid and relocation assistance is provided for those that qualify.


Qualifications :

What you will need to bring to the program

Avery Dennison has a long history of being an industry leader. Your history is important to us. It should include the following:

Education

  • Pursuing a BS in Accounting or Business or related field required.

This position will be located in our Mentor Ohio office and Reliable Transportation to and from work is required*

Preferred Experience

  • Previous internship/co-op experience or relevant work experience (a plus)

  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and experience in building financial models (a plus)

  • Experience via student organizations such as Beta Alpha Psi Association of Latino Professionals of America Multicultural Business Association Accounting Association American Accounting Association etc.

  • Volunteerism or similar activities
