POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Maintenance & Operations Secretary will be responsible for daily operational needs as well as the essential functions listed below.

Qualifications: - Must be able to type and have a competent use of the English language and have a good working knowledge of computers
- Must have good composition and organizational skills
- Must have ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with various office personnel principals teachers supervisors custodians and responsible school officials as well as community officials and parents
- Must possess initiative to accept and carry out varied assignments on own initiative along with a consistent systematic approach to the tasks performed
- Applicants may be required to take a qualifying test in typing composition and spelling
Description: - Shall take direction from the Supervisors of Maintenance & Operations and lead secretary
- Answer incoming calls and assist in problem solving of various building-related situations
- Type memos letters reports bid proposals purchase orders manuals and various correspondence
- Communicate with administrative personnel principals staff members community contractors and vendors associated with the Maintenance & Operations Department
- Responsible for the purchasing process from ordering to payment process and record keeping
- Responsible for postal and inter-office mail processes
- Responsible for record keeping of work request systems
- Responsible for assisting in a variety of record keeping and filing duties
- Responsible for assisting Supervisors of Maintenance & Operations with a variety of daily operational situations
- Responsible for record keeping of inventory systems
- Responsible for record keeping of the district security system
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance & Operations Supervisors or their designee
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High School diploma and/or related experience.
LANGUAGE MATHEMATICAL AND REASONING SKILLS:Ability to speak and write to apply mathematical concepts to practical to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral format and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
