General Responsibilities
To provide executive leadership support for Food Service Clinical Nutrition Environmental Services Patient Transportation and Guest Services. As the Vice President of Hospitality Services you will be responsible for providing global leadership to our teams to achieve program operational excellence that results in outstanding patient and family experience across the inpatient and outpatient settings of care. The successful leader will bring innovation strategic and sustainable solutions that continually raise the bar for exceptional patient experience and customer service across UAB Medicine. As such he/she will establish and maintain effective patient family/guest and clinical team rapport through engaged leadership by proactively addressing any challenges concerns or problems while reinforcing high standards of performance in all areas. The VP position will oversee staff and vendor relationships oversee the planning and execution of all events and oversee formal partnerships that bring together a comprehensive program to accomplish organization s goals for safety patient experience and financial performance. As well the VP position will be responsible for overseeing and managing the global daily operations of UAB Medicine s guest service.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Hospitality Management or a related field and ten (10)
years of progressive management experience in hospitality services required. Experience with driving
performance within a complex multi-level health system large healthcare setting or other significant
hospitality industry setting required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Approximately four (4) to ten (10) direct reports.
Budget Responsibilities
Management of funds with signatory and/or budget authority.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Professional/technical knowledge about federal state and local regulations pertaining to hospitality services
Strong business acumen intelligence and capacity; able to think strategically and implement tactically
Strong project management skills
Self-motivated with a high degree of personal initiative
Strong leadership skills
Ability to know how and when to escalate material issues for resolution
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise of all related hospitality food and nutrition industry regulatory and State guidelines and standards of performance and care
