Responsibilities
- Assists with ensuring departmental standards guidelines and objectives are met.
- Assists with hiring and training employees to ensure proper staffing.
- Ensures employees receive adequate guidance and resources to perform job responsibilities and meet departmental objectives.
- Monitors and evaluates operations daily to ensure customer needs are met and the department is operating on a profitable basis.
- Maintains inventories at an acceptable level based upon historical seasonal sales records.
- Assists in developing and creating merchandise displays that will lead to improved sales.
- Maintains security and accuracy of assigned banks and accountable for any and all overages and shortages.
- Processes invoices packing slips receiving documents short shipments and skuing conflicts.
- Conducts periodic inventories of merchandise and equipment in accordance with prescribed schedules.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Supervise/manage a department and provide input towards hiring/firing/performance decisions.
- Associates Degree and 3 to 5 years of retail experience or an equivalent amount of education and experience. 2 years of leadership experience required.
- Effective written communication presentation and computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of applicable retail and spa operating systems.
- Ability to identify alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Must have and maintain a valid drivers license.
