Position: Head Fabrication Shop (Heavy Engineering)
Location: Rajnandgaon Chhattisgarh
Industry: Heavy Equipment / Industrial Fabrication
Experience: 12 - 15 years
Qualification: B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical Production or Fabrication Engineering
Role Overview
A reputed industrial fabrication unit is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead its Fabrication Shop operations. This senior leadership role is pivotal in driving high-precision fabrication processes managing large teams and ensuring timely delivery of heavy engineering components.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end operations of the fabrication shop including welding machining and assembly
- Lead a team of supervisors engineers and skilled technicians to meet production targets
- Interpret complex fabrication drawings and ensure accurate execution on the shop floor
- Implement and monitor quality control systems and safety protocols
- Coordinate with design planning and procurement teams for seamless workflow
- Optimize resource allocation and reduce operational bottlenecks
- Resolve technical challenges and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost-effective production strategies
- Report KPIs and operational metrics to senior management
Candidate Profile
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Production or Fabrication Engineering
- 12 - 15 years of hands-on experience in heavy fabrication and shop-floor leadership
- Strong technical knowledge of welding processes fabrication techniques and industrial machinery
- Proven ability to manage large teams and complex fabrication projects
- Excellent communication problem-solving and decision-making skills
