Your Specific Responsibilities:
This is a clinical support position in the Escambia County Health Department (Escambia CHD) Family Health Clinic. This position performs a wide range of duties under the direct supervision of the Senior Community Health Nursing Supervisor.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of community resources.
Ability to work with diverse patient populations having a variety of physical problems.
Ability to plan organize and coordinate work assignments.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Knowledge of basic lab procedures to include collection of blood via venipuncture or fingerstick.
Ability to prepare and read CLIAA waived tests and input results into EHR/HMS.
Ability to prepare specimens (blood urine and swab specimens).
Knowledge of sterile processing procedures: cleaning packaging and sterilization of medical instruments.
Ability to use an autoclave for medical instruments sterilization.
Ability to accurately document each autoclave load to include spore tests.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in a clinical setting with phlebotomy skills. Certification in Phlebotomy Certification as Medical Assistant or Certification Nursing Assistant required.
Preferred - 3 or more years of well documented experience in a clinical office setting with excellent phlebotomy skills. Certification in Phlebotomy and Certification as Medical Assistant or Certification Nursing Assistant preferred.
