TITLE: Middle School Choral Director
FUNCTION: To provide instruction practice and supervision of Middle School students in
chorus and be directly responsible to the building principal.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To provide instruction practice and supervision for student in an after school choral program.
- To be responsible for choral preparation for the performance of the chorus in concerts appearances and recitals.
- To be present at all functions and performances requiring the presence of choral students.
- To offer after school instruction at least one afternoon each week.
- Adheres to the adopted policies of the Bellingham School Committee.
EXPERIENCE:
- Preferably a member of the Memorial School teaching staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of the various styles of choral music.
- Ability to select choral music appropriate to the range of middle school voices.
- Ability to provide students with an appreciation of choral music.
- Ability to train students in a variety of choral voices.
- Ability to organize and supervise students in an after school program.
