Title: Student Council (BMS)
FUNCTION: To assume the responsibilities of organizing guiding and supervising the
appropriate activities of the Middle School Student Council.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote activities on a school-wide basis which will foster school spirit and/or leadership qualities with the student body.
- Conduct monthly meetings.
- Prepare necessary press releases that highlight Student Council activities throughout the school year.
- Assume responsibilities for related duties that may be assigned by the building principal.
- Adheres to the adopted policies of the Bellingham School Committee.
EXPERIENCE:
- Preferably a member of the Middle School teaching staff.
- Experience in Student Council activities.
- Knowledge of Student Council activities and programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Dedication to the service of youth.
- Demonstrated ability to relate favorably with students.
