Mission Statement The overarching intent of Pacific International Academy is to help students achieve their personal goals in English by facilitating the acquisition of language proficiency required in daily in daily communication higher learning and the professional world. A core value for the PIA community is providing a student-centered environment that facilitates interpersonal connections and cultural exploration and service to the community. Purpose of Position The Activities Coordinator/Office Assistant ( ACOA ) is primarily responsible for the planning and implementation of social and educational activities for international students. The ACOA also contributes to all areas of PIAs student services including housing airport transfers orientations and general student support.
Minimum Qualifications
Excellent organizational problem-solving and multitasking skills; strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to effectively communicate with people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds Ability to build and maintain relationships with students and stakeholders Patience flexibility and a positive attitude Cultural competency and empathy Competence with Microsoft Office suite and cloud computing
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to organize information and complete tasks in a timely manner Demonstrated experience organizing and executing events Experience with cross-cultural communication experience with international students preferred
