The AWS High Performance Computing (HPC) team is looking for experienced SDE to work on a new HPC service.
The HPC team is building a core set of offerings that allow our customers to plan schedule and execute HPC workloads across the full range of AWS compute services and capabilities.
As a contributor in the HPC org youll be part of a world-class team in a fast-paced agile environment that involves active collaborations with other AWS teams across different locations.
This is an opportunity to operate and engineer systems on a global scale while touching and influencing large parts of the underlying AWS services.
As an experienced SDE youll be involved with the definition of the architectures to build larger more complex projects and services that surprise and delight our customers. Youll lead the design and implementation of critical components drive software best practices concerning quality security operational excellence etc. and will help the team to deliver higher quality software faster.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about the opportunities that AWS HPC provides our customers and about building simple and elegant software solutions and customer-centric products.

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
