Salary Range $40000- $44000
SUMMARY:
The Graduate Program Coordinator coordinates processes related to masters specialist and certificate programs for graduate students. Responsible for processes involving DegreeWorks Banner and coordination of graduate student graduation and graduate assistantships. Responsible for knowledge and interpretation of graduate degree requirements and University procedures.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates the approval of degree plans for masters and specialist students
- Coordinates the graduation requirements for graduate students
- Coordinates the graduation communication plans
- Coordinates the final graduation clearance processes
- Participates in the Graduate Commencement
- Exercises independent judgment in assessing the qualifications of each applicant for graduation
- Coordinates the approval of graduate certificates
- Coordinates the graduate assistantship approval process
- Assists with student requests and petition processes
- Scanning and indexing graduate studies documents
- Promotes the well-being of the office by cross-training with co-workers briefing co-workers on current activities updating computer skills and problem solving
- Contributes to the effective team management of all relevant problems issues and opportunities
- This job description shall include but is not necessarily limited to the above duties. May temporarily perform other duties assigned to maintain operations and services.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Two years of related experience. Additional education and/or experience may be considered as a substitution for the minimum education and experience requirements. Requires advanced knowledge in word processing spreadsheets verbal skills and organization skills.
- Ability to: Multi-task and work well as part of a team.

PREFERRED EDUCATION / SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:
Masters degree knowledge of university procedures THECB regulations and Southern Association criteria imaging applications and knowledge of DegreeWorks and Webfocus.
