We partner with clients and the community to promote recovery from mental illness and substance use treating more than 7500 adults and children each year. CMHA is looking to hire a Director of Communications and Marketing. This position will be located at 233 Main Street New Britain CT 06051. Monday Friday 8:30am 4:30pm.
Compensation Range:The annual salary range for this position starts at$90000.
Compensation for each position is determined not only by years of relevant experience education and skills but also by maintaining internal pay equity. Position Summary:The Director of Communications and Marketing is a strategic and innovative leader tasked with developing implementing and overseeing the organizations communication and marketing strategies. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing the organizations brand increasing awareness and ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms. The ideal candidate is data-driven collaborative and skilled at forging relationships to achieve organizational goals. This role also involves managing the day-to-day operations of communication efforts to ensure efficiency cost-effectiveness and seamless communication across the organization. By planning directing and aligning operational activities the Director ensures smooth functionality and achievement of program objectives. The Director of Communications and Marketing will collaborate extensively with clinical/program staff CMHA leadership external partners stakeholders DMHAS DCF and DOC to promote timely efficient and clinically indicated care that aligns with program goals and the agencys mission. Additionally the role involves managing communication and marketing initiatives in compliance with agency directives leveraging Key Performance Indicators and other data to drive success.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication and marketing strategies to advance the organizations mission and objectives.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of brand guidelines to ensure consistent visual and verbal representation.
  • Lead content development for press releases social media newsletters websites and other communication platforms.
  • Serve as the primary media contact; manage public relations efforts including press events and crisis communication.
  • Oversee the organizations grant strategy and submission process ensuring grants are well written and submitted on time.
  • Research and identify potential funding sources including foundations corporations and government agencies.
  • Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns utilizing tools like SEO SEM and analytics platforms to optimize performance.
  • Manage and grow the organizations presence across social media and digital channels.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align communication and marketing efforts with organizational goals.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends audience preferences and emerging opportunities.
  • Build and manage the communications and marketing team ensuring professional growth and performance excellence.
  • Develop and monitor the annual budget for the Communications and Marketing department.
  • Guide the Executive and Senior Management team by providing insights on marketing trends and brand competitors.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in marketing communications business administration or related field required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the delivery of health care and social services with adults families children and/or adolescents.
  • Experience in a communications or marketing leadership role is required. Demonstrated experience in brand development and public relations is required.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and State of CT minimum required auto insurance.
