The Role

We are looking for a HSE Policy and Reporting Advisor to support our Health Safety and Environment Branch. The Policy and Reporting Advisor would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity Excellence Respect and Creativity.

As the HSE Policy and Reporting Advisor you will be the primary point of contact and have overall responsibility for the management of policy development projects within the group assist in reviewing and editing policies in development liaise with national committees and rely on strong organizational skills to ensure timely reporting to regulators on annual reports.

To be successful in this role you will be process-oriented and methodical and will need to have an innate ability to work in collaboration with others. Knowledge of HSEs policy development process NCOSH and ESC meeting and document review processes are a must. You will be a dynamic and positive individual who is focused on providing and processing information accurately in a clear and understandable format to move activities forward efficiently and smoothly for all involved stakeholders.

Screening Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:

Education

College diploma in a relevant discipline.

Bachelors degree from a recognized university in a relevant field may be considered an asset.

Experience

• Significant* experience working in a scientific engineering and/or industrial work environment including experience supporting the implementation of environment and/or health & safety related legislation regulations policies and/or programs.
• Experience in managing multiple small projects or a large project with multiple milestones.
• Experience in reviewing and editing national policies and programs.
• Experience coordinating policy and communication deliverables for a team.
• Experience collaborating with national committees.
• Experience in preparing written/formal documentation (e.g. policies proposals statements of work business cases presentations briefing material meeting minutes etc.) for senior management and executive committees.

Compensation

From $95264to $106676 per annum.

In addition the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of$800 per year.
