Job Type: 3-Month Fixed Term Contract Full-Time

Rate: 25.48 per hour

Location: Croydon 4 days-a-week in office

Start Date: Immediate


Overview:

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a forward-thinking public sector organisation as a Senior Employee Relations Advisor. In this dynamic and flexible role youll play a key part in supporting fair and consistent people management by advising on complex employee relations issues from disciplinary and grievance cases to investigations and policy development. Youll work within a supportive and collaborative HR team with the chance to influence culture promote best practice and make a meaningful impact across the organisation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and support to managers on a wide range of complex employee relations matters including disciplinary grievance bullying and harassment and capability cases.
  • Apply up-to-date employment law HR policies and best practice guidance to support fair and timely resolution of cases.
  • Promote a culture of fairness and transparency through the use of restorative and Just Culture principles.
  • Support investigations and ensure robust and consistent documentation.
  • Build strong working relationships across the organisation offering clear practical and solutions-focused advice.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures in line with current legislation and organisational priorities.

Essential:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification.
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a HR advisory role managing complex ER cases with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting formal investigations and advising managers with confidence.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and advise persuasively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Confident using electronic HR systems and generating reports.
  • NHS Experience.
