Job Description

As the Lead Closing Advisor (Escrow Officer) you will be the main point of contact and will lead a team responsible for getting to the closing table on time. You play a pivotal role in ensuring all of the different stakeholders are on track for upholding our service commitments to Agents and customers. You will also provide managerial oversight over your direct closing team. This is a hybrid position out of our Austin TX office.

The Role:

  • Monitor files throughout the closing process to make sure the title is clear fees are accurate and parties are aware of any developments. Update parties to the transaction as milestones happen in the settlement process.

  • You are considered the utmost expert and point-person within the closing team for guidance questions and workload prioritization. You interact and correspond with all parties involved in the settlement process including buyers sellers and agents.

  • You ensure that the process is organized and all contract contingencies are met including clearing of title and working with lenders to create final closing disclosures.

  • You conduct regular 1:1s with each employee within your own closing team to communicate any updates changes roll-outs or workload adjustments.

  • You conduct regular closing team meetings to provide general team updates and align your closing team to priorities.

  • You are a mentor for your closing team and other Closing Advisors providing guidance feedback or training when needed.

  • You oversee pipeline inventory on a daily basis for your entire closing team ensuring that tasking is up-to-date prioritizing and assigning work across the team as needed.

  • You regularly monitor and take action on tasks like files timelines and working through agent and customer requests.

  • You have a keen eye for identifying trends in performance within your closing team and proactively communicate any concerns to the Market Manager or Senior Manager.

  • You have good discretion in determining capacity for your closing team including understanding when to reassign files or when to outsource capacity and bring those solutions to the Market Manager.

  • You have the knowledge and skills to provide coverage for the Market Manager on day-to-day closing priorities and responsibilities.

  • You will be responsible for the full cycle success of your direct team including hiring the best talent ensuring successful training and onboarding formal performance management for quality and productivity annual performance reviews/conversations and managing administrative functions like timecards and time-off approvals.

Skills and Experience:

  • 5 years of direct experience in Title & Escrow

  • Prior managerial experience preferred

  • Texas Title Producers License

  • Experience working in closing platforms required (Qualia preferred)

  • Experience with GSuite is helpful

  • Thrive in a multi-tasking priority shifting environment
