Learning Support Assistants (LSA)
Nursery LSA and KS 1/2 LSAs
- Closing Date:Friday 27th June 2025 at 9am but applications will be reviewed on receipt and interviews arranged accordingly
- Job Start Date:Wednesday 3rd September 2025
- Contract/Hours:32.5 hrs/wk Term Time Only plus one week. M-F 8.30am-3.30pm with hr lunch
- Salary:Band 3 FTE 24027 - 24420 pro rata 18791- 19098

St Johns Cathedral Catholic Primary is a small friendly school in the heart of Portsmouth. We have a tradition of providing an excellent education alongside superb pastoral care.
We are currently seeking to appoint experienced LSAs to work across our school and nursery with pupils who have a range of needs. The role will include working with pupils with behaviour and/or special educational needs. Duties may include some break time supervision support in class and personal care.
We are looking for LSAs who:
- Have experience of working with children with special educational needs
- Will assist in promoting the learning and personal development of pupils enabling them to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them.
- Will promote the Catholic ethos of the school
- Are positive caring and works well in a team
- Have an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in supporting teaching and learning (or equivalent)
