The Interprofessional Practice and Learning team facilitates and advances person-centered care through evidence-based professional practice and learning strategies and programs that are designed provincially and implemented locally to enhance collaborative learning and practice. The Interprofessional Practice and Learning team takes a leadership role in creating a culture of collaboration with a focus on team-based care evidence-informed practice and learning and professional development to improve health outcomes for patients families and communities. Through strong partnerships with the academic sector regulators and government the Interprofessional Practice and Learning team has an integral role in influencing and operationalizing health system priorities.
Reporting to the Eastern Zone Manager of Simulation Learning the Mobile Unit Driver is the primary driver responsible for the safe operation of the Simulation Learning vehicles. The Mobile Unit Driver also provides a key function for clinic operations in terms of vehicle routine maintenance cleaning and daily supply restocking loading and unloading. The Mobile Unit Driver is part of a diverse Simulation Learning Team.
Mobile Unit Driver must independently monitor and follow Simulation Learning schedule and daily work assignments sometimes under short notice. Work locations are indoors outdoors and in transit. Customer service is a large part of the Mobile Drivers daily duties they must be able to communicate effectively with the public their team and partners. Mobile Unit Driver must constantly monitor their vehicles passengers and supplies. Mobile Unit Driver may deal with heavy traffic congested streets adverse weather and long driving distances and may travel to more than one location per shift. Mobile Unit Driver must be alert and manage their personal well-being as they can drive long hours.
This position will require frequent driving within the zone a valid drivers license is required.
