Whats on offer:
Hourly Rate:12.71 plus holiday pay calculated at 15.55% (equivalent of 35 days paid leave per year)
Duration:Fixed Term Contract starting in Term 3 2025 and until 4 July 2026 (subject to a 6-month probationary period) working throughout the next academic year (2025/2026).
Hours:You will be expected to work an average of 2 shifts a week (an average of 10-12 hours a week) throughout term time; you must be available to work 8 out of the 10 Wednesday nights (shifts usually 18:30-02:15) throughout term 1 and term 2 and then usually a Friday or Saturday night (shifts usually 21:30-02:15). We cannot guarantee these hours.
Location:Warwick Students Union Coventry.

Whats the role
You will be working in The Copper Rooms which is our dedicated venue that delivers a range of exciting events club nights and live music throughout the academic year.
You will be leading the team of Stewards to ensure that Health & Safety requirements are met at all times and to assist in the safe provision of service outlets to operate the door entry and cloakroom systems and to act as information points for members and guests providing a customer friendly professional face of the Students Union.
Who are you
We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills who is able to demonstrate initiative and good verbal communication whilst overseeing the Stewarding Team to ensure the safe operation of our venues during our highly successful events programme.

JOB TITLE:Head Steward
RESPONSIBLE TO:Venue and Security Manager and through them to Deputy Venue Manager Food & Beverage Manager Operations Director Chief Executive and the Board of Trustees.
RESPONSIBLE FOR:Stewards
MAIN PURPOSE FOR JOB:To lead a successful stewarding team in the Entertainment department. Working closely with Door Supervisors First Aiders Stewards and Management to run an efficient stewarding shift.
To ensure Health and Safety requirements are met at all times to assist in the safe provision of service outlets.
