Job Description
We are looking for a dependable and resourceful Dispatcher to join our transportation company in Monsey. In this role youll serve as the central communication point for drivers during active shifts ensuring smooth operations and quick responses to any issues that arise. Ideal candidates are calm under pressure great with people and able to think on their feet in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in dispatching transportation or team supervision is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for drivers during shifts.
- Relay instructions updates and route changes to drivers in real-time.
- Quickly respond to service interruptions emergencies or driver issues.
- Dispatch replacement buses or drivers as needed to minimize disruptions.
- Help ensure a safe reliable and customer-friendly transit experience.
- Operate dispatch software radio systems GPS tracking tools and scheduling platforms effectively.
Qualifications:
- Available Sunday through Thursday 12:008:00 PM or 2:0010:00 PM (with a 1-hour break)
- Calm under pressure with a consistently positive attitude.
- must be a people person who communicates well and maintains composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Quick thinker and confident problem-solver capable of making smart independent decisions.
- Prior experience in transportation dispatching logistics or a similar industry is a strong plus.
- Previous experience managing people is highly preferred.
- Yiddish-speaking is highly preferred.
- Must be local to Rockland County.
Location: Monsey NY
Salary: $100k- $130k
